Since 1992 the parents of
Bridgeport
have had an oasis for family and community development through the
Bridgeport
Parent
Center
. The
Parent
Center
serves as a gateway, gathering place and replenishing station for Parent Engagement. The center offers parents a comfortable, friendly, and supportive environment for self-enrichment by the enhancement of life, education and employment skills. This city-wide resource is made possible through the State Priority District Grant under the leadership of the
Bridgeport
School's
Public and Private Grants. Although grant funding is limited the Center has implemented, maintained and expanded initiatives via creative collaborations, partnerships and networks.

Title 1 Parent Recognition Awardees:
A winner/nominee is a parent/guardian or care giver who gives his or her service, time, energy, and talents that contribute to the academic performance of children and improve the function of the school(s) in any positive, caring manner. Parents, administrators, teachers or any school staff can nominate a person for this award. Awards are given in December, March and May. Contact the Parent Center for nomination forms.
